''So many attempts later and still no solution from M-Audio. I cannot get hold of a spare part MAIN BOARD. Nor UK nor DE nor NL support are willing to repair the unit. All say spare part supply is a pain. The most disappointing buy of the century... ''
''Yes!!! I fixed it! After many long nights i figured out a way to upload the firmware again to the opal 61 main board using the jtag interface. Everything works but one thing. It is no longer possible to update firmware via the software upgrade over USB. But who cares, it is working again!!!!''
In the mean time I have been doing some analysis myself.
I figured out that the J7 connector on the main board is a JTAG interface with following pinout:
1 VDD
2 /TRST
3 TDI
4 TMS
5 TCK
6 RTCK
7 TDO
8 /RESET
9 GND
10 GND
I have made a converter to standard 20 pin JTAG and connected successfully with the NXP chip on the mainboard. (LPC2146) After snooping around in the firmware update utility for OSX I found the dfu file which is used for the over USB firmware update but since this is a proprietary format I cannot load it into the chip. Can anyone convert this file into a binary?
Come on M-Audio, if you cannot provide the spare parts the least you can do is provide the information to repair these keyboards. Some service information, firmware files, etc. Since the keyboard is out of production anyhow what do you have to loose???''
''The problem is firmware related but cannot be fixed via USB firmware update. Low level tools are needed (JTag) to flash the firmware again.''
adam çözmüş ama nasıl yapılır? yardımcı olabilecek biri var mı?
