Hi there,
this is a soundsample for my live-guitar rig. Gary Moore is probably not the typical sound for ENGL useres, but this is also to show the quality of these amps outside of heavy metal styles. What you hear is the direct signal form the mic's - no audio editing!!
In my rig I am using a Line6 POD X3 Pro (=effects, 2.nd diggi-amp for dualtones plus midiswitching), ENGL 570 4ch-tube preamp, TC-Electronics G-MAJOR, ENGL 840/50, 2x212 ENGL Cabs (Celstion 30's) - stereo, mic'ed with Shure SM57 off axis (45°) at the edge of the cone.
Guitar: Ibanez Jem-7 VWH "Steve Vai" - 2007
There are a lot of mistakes as I could hardly hear the backing track (recorded at a nice level - ask the neighbours ;-))
Again - this is to show one of the rig's sounds. In this case it is a pure tube sound, Engl 570 on channel 3 (soft lead with high gain switch engaged). Verb and delay from G-Major...
The intro is from the Wild Frontier Album - keys performed by Axel (our man on the keys at "The Foundation"). The rest of the backing is is from guitarbt.com
